Chicago, IL (January 11, 2011) – Stone & Youngberg, a leading financial services firm and the nation’s top underwriter of California and Arizona municipal bonds over the past five years1, announced that B. Craig Hutson will join the firm’s Chicago-based Portfolio Strategy Group as a senior vice president and senior corporate credit analyst. Hutson will be responsible for credit analysis of both investment grade and high yield issuers.
“Craig brings more than 20 years of credit research to his role in the Portfolio Strategy Group, including a tremendous amount of broad-based expertise in analyzing corporate bonds,” said Kevin Schultze, a managing director and head of Stone & Youngberg’s Portfolio Strategy Group. “The capabilities of our team will be significantly enhanced with this addition to our staff.”
Hutson was previously a senior bond analyst with Gimme Credit, an independent corporate bond research firm. Prior to that he was the head of U.S. investment grade research at UBS Global Asset Management. His team was responsible for over $40 billion of corporate bond exposure across a variety of portfolios. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a BA from Duke University, and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
In the Midwest, Stone & Youngberg has expanded its team rapidly, moving to new downtown Chicago offices one year ago to accommodate growth.
