S&Y Capital Group LLC is a private real estate investment, development and financial services firm affiliated with Stone & Youngberg LLC.  Stone & Youngberg is a privately-owned investment bank, founded in 1931 in San Francisco, specializing in the structuring, underwriting and sales of municipal bonds.  During the past five years, Stone & Youngberg acted as lead manager on more than 1,000 municipal bond issues totaling over $20.8 billion.  No other investment bank has such a widely distributed and effective network of professionals coming into frequent contact with senior municipal staff and elected officials in the Western States.

S&Y Capital Group pioneered the strategy of investing in defaulted municipal bonds and using them to acquire land development projects that stalled during California's real estate downturn of the early to mid-1990's.  For over a decade, S&Y Capital Group working alone or with development partners has focused its efforts on adding value to land by obtaining viable development rights, designing, engineering and financing infrastructure.
